Product Overview


The purpose of this test is to evaluate the vehicles' ability to prevent rainwater penetration and its rainproof performance during or after exposure to rainfall. The test will examine the proper installation of the windows and sunroofs, the reliability of their seals, and the correctness of their installation methods.


The rain test chamber is equipped with the following key systems:

  • Spray System: Ensures water is sprayed on the car windows from multiple directions, including the side, front, back, bottom, and top, to eliminate any areas where water may not reach.
  • Water Replenishment and Circulation Systems: Maintain an uninterrupted water supply and proper flow throughout the test.
  • Drying System: blow the water from the vehicle after rainfall test
  • Sewage System: Effectively removes excess water from the chamber.
  • Electronic Control System: Manages the operation of all systems and ensures compliance with test parameters.

  • Rain Spray system

The whole spray system is mainly composed of pipes, nozzles, valves, filters, pumps, display devices, etc.

Pipes:

  • Main pipe: All sprinkler pipes are made of stainless steel 304 pipe; the inner diameter of the water pump suction pipe is 80mm, the inner diameter of the water pump water supply main pipe top is 80mm, and the inner diameter of the water supply main pipe on both sides from the water pump outlet to the bottom of the flow meter is 80mm.
  • Branch pipe: Stainless steel pipes are used for sprinkler branches, with a pipe diameter of 32mm.

Nozzles:

  • 1. The nozzle adopts an adjustable stainless-steel nozzle. The nozzle discharges water evenly and is in a 60° cone shape. The diameter of the spray hole is 2.5mm±0.01mm. The size and internal structure of the nozzles used are the same and are precision-made in accordance with national standards.
  • 2. The nozzles are evenly installed on each spray surface branch pipe. The horizontal and vertical spacing between the nozzles is 400mm, and the national standard shower spacing is 400mm. The number of nozzles ensures that the inspected part of the outer surface of the corresponding largest vehicle model is in the shower area.
  • 3. The axis of the top nozzle is perpendicular to the horizontal plane. The axis of the side nozzle is perpendicular to the longitudinal symmetry plane of the vehicle. The distance between the nozzle and the outer surface of the vehicle body is 700mm±200m.
  • Drying System

The drying room is for cool air drying. The blowing pipes are arranged along the top and both sides of the entity. The interior is made of stainless steel. To ensure the drying effect, the air outlet has a certain pressure. It meets the drying needs of existing car models. The external air duct is made of 1.5 stainless steel plate. The wind outlet is made of 1.5 stainless steel plate, and is equipped with a damper adjustment.


The maximum height of the drying air outlet is 2800mm, and the minimum distance of the side air outlet is greater than 2600mm.


The fans are centrifugal fans of Dehui and Nantong. The scheme design and fan selection are carried out according to two blowing. Ensure that the blow-drying fan is placed on the top of the room. The electrical equipment is well protected from moisture and moisture, and Party B provides ladders and lighting for maintenance. To facilitate troubleshooting, a separate pedestrian safety door for maintenance is set at the drying area.


The drying room has good sound insulation. The noise is no more than 75 decibels 1 meter away from the drying room. To ensure the soundproofing effect of the drying room, the room body adopts a double-layer galvanized plate structure. The outer plate is 0.8mm thick and punched inside. The middle interlayer is a 100mm thick rock wool plywood. The interlayer design is reasonable to ensure that the cotton compound does not leak or return moisture.
